The Question of the Week # 8
"What really brings it all?"
The question I was asked again and again. Even as a vegetarian I had to struggle to understand that many are not easy able to take a serious attitude and a day to live again. Just this week someone asked me. "What brings it?" was the exact wording, as I my Aneigung the documentary "The Bay - The Cove " have spoken.
And in other situations, I was many times grfragt. Meisst when my opposite has occurred to anything else.
Well of course you can achieve as a single person at first glance, not much. Especially for outsiders, for which alone is "the change" is a "terrible" effort, weighted again and again the argument "that it brings nothing." That's not quite right. If you look closely, you can do as a single person or even what it makes a difference. The consumer determines the market and if it were in the last few years the number of vegetarian inside and vegans are not project increased, there would be products such as tofu, soy milk, rice milk, oat milk, Yofu, veggie meat substitutes, etc. far not in any well-stocked supermarket.
And as a single person can save a waiver such as meat animals. Many say "Departments are slaughtered anyway, but it looks only at first glance it. According Statikstiken example, has a average Americans up to his 70th Age of 11 cows, 23 pigs, 1100 chickens, 3 lambs and sheep eaten ( Source ).
Even those who do not believe in statistics, can still claim that you yourself do just to do with animal suffering.
That to me is also very important that I can say of me, I do not support it. Even if I were the only person in the world, I would not occur to me ridiculous, because I myself, for my conscience, know that I create an animal suffering and am not responsible.
responsibility I feel of course anyway, so I am not afraid even to give one or the other advice, when someone speaks of the oh-so-great steak.
There are always minorities make a difference, even in the liberation of slaves and the Feminism task initially small groups, slow process, but in the end it paid off.
I think it's just an awareness zuschaffen important, for what happens in the world every day and that really is not just the steak from the freezer counter. It has lived, it had a face and could feel pain like you and me. The prevention of the death of a living being equal, any "effort" be worth.
In this sense,
a nice evening =)
PS: Oh, how glad I am that tomorrow will bring bad weather, maybe the odd corpse Grill will be less a fix;)
